WKK shipped its first Pro Form photoresist printer built entirely in China at the company's new manufacturing site in Champing, China. The company acquired the IP, spare parts, and other rights from the owners of the now defunct American company. ORC, a former Perkin Elmer subsidiary was the industry leader in producing automatic printers for Geater China's printed circuit fabrication industry.

Wong's Kong King Distribution introduced the world's first automatic liquid photoimageable solder mask exposure systems. Using a custom designed high energy light system the "X-Box" exposes 25 micron thick solder masks in less than 5 seconds. The conveyorized machine process 120 panels per hour. The machine was designed and built in WKK's Shanghai operations.
